Artist Jeni Yang opens her new show Two of a Kind (August 18th – September 5th) at GR2 (Giant Robot 2) with so many lovely and beautiful works of paint and wood. I really dig the style and vision Jeni has, with a mixture of cartoon like innocence of children, animals, nature and food all rolled up and sliced into a modern folk art feel. It seems that all the frames and inner wood works are all done by her and compliments perfect. My favorites were the Child Of Noodles series and the Meatloaf piece. The indie video game Catburger by Jeni Yang & Beau Blyth is also on displayed to play, no quarters necessary. I meet Jeni at the Satoshi show and I must say that she is a cool, sweet and talented cat. So be sure to support her and check out her show Two Of A Kind soon.
