After 5 years since opening it’s doors, Royal/T Cafe says goodbye with a farewell Greatest Hits party in Culver City. It was like a reunion of past curators, artists and friends, here to be acknowledge and thanked for their contributions over the years from owner Sue Hancock. Guest included Dave Marchi (Sanrio), Jay Sanders (Whitney Biennial), Eric Shiner (Andy Warhol), Amber Noland (Art Collection Management), Jane Glassman (ARTeamLA), Lindsay Scoggins (WAABAT) and the lovely Kat Steele. I was sad to hear of the closing and remember when my family threw me a surprise birthday party for me there and Kat was our maid, oh the memories. I wish Sue and Royal/T Cafe much success in it’s new ventures. I think this is the only Japanese maid influence cafe in American and it will be missed.
Peace!
