Sanrio and the ever so popular character Hello Kitty, are back again with another bigger and better show titled Small Gift (November 12th – November 21st 2010) held at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica. This is a two coast tour to help celebrate Sanrio’s 50th year with a carnival like theme of booth games, miniature golf, a Ferris wheel, arcade, food and so much more. On selected dates, they have different arts and crafts studio to attend, from t-shirt printing to sand art. On display were various vintage Sanrio items which you might have owned, the new Hello Kitty Sephora line and the Hello Kitty Smart cars to check out. They had a huge and amazing art exhibit on display by JapanLA, with a few artists coming by. My favorite desert shop Beard Papa’s along with Yogurtland had a booth for a quick snack. Of course they had a pop up shop with lots of limited cute Small Gift goodies and souvenirs to take home. It was really Sanrio at it’s best. I also ran into Miss Kita, who was signing her adorable print “Candy Candy Kitty Dream”. So if your a fan of Sanrio and Hello Kitty, you gotta come down and spend the day here. Free admission too.
