Celebrating the city’s legacy of innovators, civic leaders, artists and cultural icon, CicLAvia presented by Metro starts 2020 with the South L.A. route, 6 miles of open streets connecting South Central, Florence, Firestone and Watts. Metro friendly via the Blue Line. Streets are closed to cars and open for cyclists, pedestrians, runners and skaters to use as a recreational space with 4 hubs to rest, hydrate, eat, repair and enjoy. Had a chance to visit the Watts Tower (under construction) and make new friends. Easy straight route with no hills. Thank you volunteers and staff for another great ride, looking forward to the next.
