LONG BEACH COMIC CON

Returning for my second Long Beach Comic Con (September 2nd – 3rd) held at the Long Beach Convention Center. This year’s special celebrity guest were William Shatner, Sherilyn Fenn, Howard Chaykin, Dave Gibbons, Pia Guerra, Gene Ha, Dean Haspiel and Ron Marz. My favorite part of this event is the “Artist Alley” located right in the center of the floor, featuring independent and professional writers, artists, illustrators and creators. Other floor sections included Space Expo, Cosplay Corner, Makers Market, South Bay Gaming Center, Laser Tag and Competitive Gaming. Saturday night was Burger Con (5pm – 10pm) by Burger Records, featuring DJ Don Bolles, White Fang, The Zeroes, Dwarves and Nobunny. Programs running all day long including William Shatner Unplugged, 501st Legion prop and costume making, Virgin Orbit and the Geekfest Film Festival, to name a few. I had super time seeing friends and making new ones, while soaking up the vibe of comic pop culture here in Los Angeles. Thanks to Long Beach Comic Con and MAD Event Management for having me again and will be looking forward to next year.
