Celebrating the 2015 Lunar New Year with the WHITE TIGER family, honoring the Year of the Goat from the Chinese Zodiac. To bring in the New Year properly, fashionable brown with yellow t-shirts were made, which read, “Gong Hay Fat Choy 2015” and “Bak Fu Pai Gung Fu”. To start off the festivities, we had the honor of having the beautiful USC Dance Troop perform for us outside the studio. Next came the amazing Lion Dance by Jay and Tennyson, accompany by the beat of the drum and the rhythm of gong and cymbals to scare away evil spirits. I heard petting the lion brings good luck. Inside the studio, plenty of food and sweets were available and brought by the many members of the WHITE TIGER family with DJ Seb providing the music selection. Next, demonstrations by teachers and student were performed along with the long anticipated raffle with amazing prizes. Thanks to the WHITE TIGER family and to everyone behind the scenes for making this New Year even a bigger one then the last, good times as always.
