Tonight, I headed down to Balconi to see Eric Nakamura and his new exhibit titled B-Shots (March 30th – May 11th). Curated by Kio Griffith of Cafemode.
Cafemode proudly presents B-Shots, a solo show by Eric Nakamura Before Giant Robot, Eric Nakamura worked as a photojournalist capturing the music scene of the late 80s and early 90s covering famous acts and other influential bands that stayed under the radar. This is the first survey of pre digital photography that Eric has dug out from his archive. Each image will be accompanied by an introductory text about the band. A limited edition zine will be available for purchase throughout the show. Featuring photos of 7 League Boots, Antioch Arrow, Beck, Big Drill Car, Bikini Kill, Courtney Love, Drive Like Jehu, The Dwarves, Fishbone, Jane’s Addiction, Jawbreaker, The Jesus Lizard, John Spencer Blues Explosion, Kurt Cobain, L7!, Living Colour, fIREHOSE,Mudhoney, The Nymphs, Public Enemy, Slug, Sonic Youth, The Supersuckers, Unwound, etc.
