I was so excited to receive a press pass to attend the 10th annual Pacific Media Expo (PMX) held at the LAX Hilton (November 7th – November 9th). When walking into the lobby, the first thing you hit is the Cosplay Red Zone, a meeting area for cosplayers. I dig the magic vibe that fills a room with cosplayers, proudly showing off their created costumes, striking a pose and giving a 3D tribute to a 2D anime or game character. What a great turnout of fantastic cosplayers. I was only able to attend one of this years Guest of Honor press panels, Izumi Matsumoto, creator and artist of the popular manga series Kimagure Orange Road. PMX had a great mix of events and panels for everyone, including a Martial Arts workshop, Weiss Schwarz tournament, Juliette et Justine boutique, Vocaloid concert and a Swap Meet. I really enjoyed the Swap Meet, where I saw older random pop culture related stuff that peeps wanted to sale at a bargain. Thanks to PMX and staff for having me and hope to see you back next year.
