This afternoon, I visited White Tiger martial arts studio in the Westwood neighborhood for an awesome time of tea, exercise and meditation. Opened to all students, families, friends and anyone interested to an introduction to White Tiger. The day started with a tea ceremony, a friendly and relaxing way to get people to talk, ask questions and to get to know one another while enjoying tea and snacks. Next, everyone was invited to offer 3 incense, followed by a stretching and a digestion walk to circulate the energy and clam of the mind. After an introduction, we all did Summer Winds, an external movement practiced by White Tiger to develop sensitivity to energy, then we all sat down and started chanting Om from the lower Dan Tien to raise the energy through the body, an internal practice. Thanks to Shi Gung Rizzo, Si Jei Tanaka, Si Hing Goehner and staff for such a wonderful and fun experience.
Peace!

Balancing the 6 pillars in your life will boost the immune system, reduce stress, balance emotions, increase flexibility, and increase energy. Qigong is the study of energy. In our practice here at White Tiger we incorporate an external and internal practice. External movements are used develop the energy and a sensitivity to it.
