My first time visting The Broad, a contemporary art museum named for philanthropists Eli and Edythe Broad. Metro rail friendly via the E line. A vast collection of postwar contemporary art, and a distinctive architecture by Diller Scofidio & Renfro, opening in 2015. Featuring art on view by Andy Warhol, Jean-Michael Basquiat, Roy Lichtenstein, Jenny Holzer, Robert Longo, Cindy Sherman, Jeff Koon and so much more. Two interactive works by Yayoi Kusama are mesmerizing to experience, and the Robert Therrien display makes you feel tiny. General admission is free. Reserving a timed ticket in advance is recommended.
