Singer-songwriters, by nature, seem to have a lot on their minds, and music is their outlet. Annie Lin's Truck Was Struck is collection of spunky indie pop with an acoustic edge, full of clever lines like "I'll break you like a habit" ("In The Waiting Room") and "If I make you laugh, will you make me dinner" ("Path Of Least Resistance"). "Whole" explores how infatuation can fuck you up. The album has an overall raw, demo-ish vibe going on, which makes it feel more intimate. Truck is a pretty good collection, but there's room for improvement.
