Eclipse Concept-E

Unveiled at the 2004 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, The Eclipse Concept-E's design is extremely aggressive and forward-thinking, very curvy, and very sporty--a vast improvement on the disappointing current Eclipse. But then again, this is at concept stage so things will likely change by the time it becomes a production model. Mechanically, it's the best of both worlds. The engine is a hybrid "E-Boost" system that pairs up a 3.8-liter V6 engine driving the front wheels with an electric motor driving the front and rear wheels. Total horsepower: a whopping 470. The six-speed transmission can even be swithched between manual and automatic.
