After a short hiatus Long Beach Comic Con (August 30th – 31st) returns along with the GeekFest Film Festival and Space Expo held at the Long Beach Convention Center. Metro rail friendly via the A line. A celebration of comic books and pop culture that showcases the exceptional works of talented writers, artists, illustrators and creators of all types. The layout was different this year with “Main Hall” upstairs and “Artist Alley” on main floor. Highlights included “The Boy Meets World” Q&A with Will Friedle, Rider Strong, Bonnie Barlett and William Daniels, the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” panel with Rob Paulsen, Townsend Coleman, Cam Clarke and Barry Gordon, and the annual Costume Contest. Great to see the awesome cosplayers at “Kids For Cosplay” (pictured above), and the Columbia Memorial Space Center crew always representing. Nice to meet and chat with Metal Lord creator Gustav Starr. Had a super time and already looking forward to the next. Thank you Long Beach Comic Con and MAD Event Management for having me.
Peace!
