Back to visit the friendly and quaint Lomita Railroad Museum built in 1966 by Irene Lewis, then donated to the City of Lomita in honor and memory of the her late husband Martin Lewis. Outdoor exhibits include a 1902 Southern Pacific steam locomotive and oil tender, 1881 Velocipede, 1949 Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe caboose, 1910 Union Pacific caboose, 1923 Union Oil tank car, and a 1913 Union Pacific box car. Inside the museum are artifacts and memorabilia of past generations of railroad history. Admission is free and opened Friday to Sunday. Thank you Lomita Railroad Museum and staff for having us.
